Civil & Criminal Investigations
J. Baker & Associates focuses on providing our attorney clients all our resources and skill when hired to investigate civil and criminal cases.  From the beginning of a criminal case or lawsuit, all the way through the verdict, Baker & Associates investigators will gather pertinent facts crucial to a favorable outcome in the courtroom. Our services include:
  • Identifying, locating, and interviewing witnesses: We locate witnesses; conduct interviews of witnesses and subjects and take statements in written, audiotape or video formats.
  • Case Management: Attorneys often require a different perspective to see how a case is progressing. Our seasoned investigators can often offer advise from a different view point providing our attorney clients with alternatives favorable to our clients. We are experienced in managing large cases for our attorney clients, which frees up the time for them to work on strategy.
  • Reviewing documents and reports: All the employees of J. Baker & Associates come from a law and education background. We can examine police reports and know where to find information or discover what is missing. We know what we are looking for and where to look.
  • Focusing and limiting the scope of discovery: We can provide background information on witnesses and parties to a civil or criminal matter.  We can provide information to refute or confirm information developed by discovery.
  • Scene Investigation: We prepare professional photos, diagrams, and video of any scene. Our scene documentation and photos can be prepared as exhibits for court or in power-point presentation form.
  • Jury Panels: Complete background information on jury panel members and trial attorneys, e.g., political affiliations, church affiliations, membership in social organizations, police or arrest record, accident history, lawsuit history and/or other information desired.
  • Juror Polls: We are well versed in the art of polling a jury in a gentle, but probing and professional manner.
  • Evidence Gathering and document retrieval: Just provide us with a list of what your looking for and we will locate it if it is there to be found.
Litigation Support & Trail Preperation
Through effective organizational skills we can assist our attorney clients in trial preparation.  Allow usto handle the evidence and witness preparation while you focus on the case strategy.
  • Mediation: J. Baker & Associates will assist attorneys and insurance adjusters the same high quality photographs and/or scene diagrams, subject photos, or power-point presentations assembled into a mediation display. The display walks the viewer through the reconstruction of the accident and it's life-altering results. When shared with decision makers prior to the mediation, it can be a valuable tool in our attorney clients arsenal when it comes to settlement time.
